I wish I would have purchased the medium priced dryer, not this digital one. It has way too many options, that I will probably never use. However, I wanted the washer and dryer to match. Personally, if my washer and dryer were in a basement I would just get any brand dryer. I typically do just medium loads of laundry. When I do darks, if I do timed dry 45 minutes on medium heat, my clothes are dry. If I dry 2 bath towels, 2 dish clothes, 2 dish towels, 2 men's undershirts socks and underwear, I do timed dry for 45 minutes on high. They are never dry, the towels are always damp as well as the undershirts. I need to dry them separately for another approximately 8 minutes. So, I am not impressed. Also, after spending that much money for the washer and dryer I find it insulting that it came with no manual. You must request one and they graciously send you one, come on, they could do better! The men who installed our appliances were fantastic! Extremely thorough, friendly, knowledgeable and professional.

It has an extremely large capacity and is very quiet. It has taken me a while to find the best timing for drying various things, but it's far better than our old dryer! The only problem we've had is with anything that has any "hanging" strings - they get caught on something and the item gets twisted and damaged. It's only happened to a few washcloths so far, so not the worst thing ever.

Trying to learn this machine

My clothes are more wrinkly than my previous dryer. I'm trying to adjust size of loads and hopefully I'll find the right combination of load size and settings. So far, I haven't found the "wow I LOVE this machine!" factor. The signal is very quiet so I often don't hear it if I'm in a different part of the house when it first goes off so I have to "refresh" the load.

Already had service on Dryer

Speed Queen is definitely the appliances to get if you're constantly doing laundry. However, the dryer has needed to be serviced on about 3 times now. There's a vent on the inside of the dryer towards the back that has a film/paint that keeps melting and getting in our clothes. That's been replaced 2 times now. The thermostat has has to be replaced as well as two sensors. We've also experienced a loud squeaky sound that needs to be serviced now. Luckily it's under warranty and all this has it will get fixed.

Dryer broke in 9 months - took 3 weeks to fix

service subpar going in circles no help

Worst experience in customer service in 4 decades. Delivered 11/17/2022, as of today changed the venting, the melted fin, and the back BLACK CHARRED grid less than 10 days ago. A NEW BURN CHARRED CIRCLE has shown up on the back grid. So many torn, ripped, sheets, clothing, with burn marks and melted stuff on our items. The damaged and lost apparel and items alone are in the $1,000's loss. Waiting for a speed queen service person to come on March 20, 2023. A service person from the place I purchased it from changed the new parts out less than 10 days ago except a new electrical panel that arrived with the speed queen service dealer. Something wrong with it! Dealer said have to deal with Speed Queen now. So sad 3+ months and hasn't worked correctly since 2 hours after installing.

Sensor seems to be broken. All settings will dry ONLY for the amount of time listed except Permanent Press, (which seems to work most of the time). Clothes are all seemingly time-dry for the default duration, and does not extend past that; does not "ask the sensor" to extend those minutes. Drying twice seems to work, since you can't go over 99 in time-dry-mode and it typically needs like 125 minutes. All settings (except Perm. Press) leave clothes quite damp. Asked for assistance but was reverted back to where I purchased item but cannot get serviced. Warranty is useless. Verified vent is clear. Disappointed.

Replaced electric LG dryer with Speed Queen gas. The LG took a very long time to dry, and cloths still felt damp. The Speed Queen is at least twice as fast to dry, and the clothes are really dry. The Speed Queen is also very quiet. The settings are logical and intuitive. Great dryer!!!!!
