Great machine! Quick full wash cycle! Only thing is on final spin cycle I find the clothes are still a little more damp than usual and it takes longer for them to dry in the dryer , especially the towels and bulky stuff.

Initially pleased, but after about 7 weeks and maybe two dozen washes, the machine is leaking water during the washing and spinning. Now we are awaiting a service call. Very disappointed.

10/5 stars. After hours of research leading me back to the TC5, we finally joined the Speed Queen family. We've had them for over two months and I'm fully convinced that our old Samsung did not even clean our clothes. The TC5 handles anything I throw at it with ease. I love how easy it is to touch the bottom of the drum to grab clothes and the agitator cleans everything SO well. We had issues with uneven/unbalanced loads previously and I've never once had an issue with the TC5. Blankets, filled to the brim with towels, you name it…it can handle it. When you feel the drum and how well built it is you understand. One of the things I had heard while researching was that the TC5 couldn't handle a king comforter… but I was able to wash my king quilt comforter easily so it just depends on the thickness and how you load it. I genuinely love my speed queens and recommend them to anyone who listens. 30 min cycle times. Made in USA. Truly, as a busy mom and professional….thank you Speed Queen. You've made my life so much easier and what was once my least favorite thing to do is now fast, east, and enjoyable.

Unfortunately we have been a little disappointed. I was sick of going through $500 washing machines so that's why we bought the Speed Queen. A few days after we go it, we noticed water on the floor. A service man came out and said it wasn't level so he releveled it again. Everything was okay for a few days and the load apparently got unbalanced and it walked itself out in to the middle of the floor. I pushed it back and leveled it myself this time. Not every load but it's still leaking water on the floor, VERY DISAPPOINTED after spending $1,500.

We have been looking for a durable, efficient, dependable washing machine that actually cleans our clothes. Our Maytag that we owned for 15 + years died over 25 years ago and we had struggled with the dependability of several replacement washers of different manufacturers ever since. We decide to find a washing machine that has the durability that we have been seeking. The Speedqueen although very low tech (which is very refreshing) cleans, is durable, and very efficient. I hope our machine lasts as long as many other's who have bought one does. We are very happy with our decision. When our dryer fails( which is inevitable since we have had to already replace the heating element after 3 years of ownership) we will purchase a Speedqueen dryer. We appreciate the quality your product delivers.

I love this washer! I had forgotten how easy laundry is when the machine uses actual water and cycles are quick and efficient because of it. I can toss a load in after work because it's so fast and easy! The delicate cycle is very gentle and my clothes are so clean. My king bedding and quilt fits just fine and they are clean! No regrets, this is the best washer I've had since the 90's lol!

Was great for the first 5 years and 3 weeks. Then the washer caught on fire. A shirt sleeve was caught in between the "washer drum" and the outer portion of the drum. Something caught the sleeve and started making a lot of smoke. It actually set off fire alarm. Would not honor the warranty as it was three weeks past. Now I'm stuck with this washer.

So happy to finally have a beautiful matching washer/dryer set. But, I am disappointed. I was convinced I was getting the very best, but some things are making me wonder. The washer doesn't spin the clothes well enough and then I have to repeat dryer cycles in order to get the clothes dry; even then damp spots remain. I tried repeating the spin cycle, which helps very little. I would love to know how to better use this product, or to know if there is something wrong.

We had a Sears Roebuck washer for almost 30 years but it finally conked out. Replaced it with a GE that seemed like the old style, but was not. It barely covered the clothes with water, went off balance more than not, then before 5 years was up, no longer even agitated!! I read up on machines and ALL the repairmen rated this washer as the best. I couldn't agree more!!! Simple, very sturdy and works perfectly!! It is worth the extra cost!

This is absolutely like the old days. You push a button & the washing machine begins to fill with water & then proceeds to wash your clothes. Just like it was always supposed to. I am tired of todays ridiculous standard brand garbage where you have electronic control panels with 6 buttons including a lid lock & the useless auto load sensing nonsense. All they do is break & have errors. I love this machine, it works great. I am 70 and would not be suprised if this machine outlives me. I would be fine with that, never having to a buy another washing machine the rest of my life & then pass it on.

This machine automatically goes through cycles so I can not select spin or wash again, etc. After 3 years now, past 18 months it has had issues with leaving water in the bottom after spinning. I have to unplug it and start over, using more water and time. Then most times it gives the error again. I have had 3 companies come out like 7 times replacing parts to repair it and I'm still having the issue. This is so frustrating and a huge inconvenience.... speedqueen will not replace the machine. This is rediculous!!! How many times does a tech need to repair just for a few weeks. Same issue every time. I do disgusted with spoedqueen customer service!!!

I kept going back to reviews to talk myself out of wanting this pricy purchase when my 4th HE washer was on its way out over the last couple years! Just save yourself some time and money and get a Speed Queen washer!... and dryer if you can swing it! I have NOT had one second of buyers remorse with my new speed queen set. TC5003WN + DC5004W. It does everything it's suppose to SO MUCH BETTER with simple controls in LESS THAN HALF OF THE TIME any of my HE washers did! I was concerned it might not handle a King and I had updated to a Cal King mid-weight quilt, so i accordion fold/ topside-dirty dog creases facing down in the tub to let dirt/fur drain and it OUT CLEANS everything my HE's were NOT doing well! I highly recommend this even if the price tag is steep - save up, it will be worth it! ALL OF MY LAUNDRY SITUATIONS ARE SO MUCH CLEANER, FRESHER & FUR FREE IN LESS TIME! (using well water, electric dryer for: everyday clothes, sports uniforms, shoes, fishing, farming, business wear, delicates, pet bedding, people bedding for a active household + 2 labs, cats to add in plenty of fur that sticks to everything). Bonus savings: I'm finally using those 'recommend' almost invisible lines at the bottom of the HE liquid detergent cup. I was having to use almost a full cup + HE features that added forever + vinegar or baking soda or borax depending on the load just to get a decent HE clean. IYKYK. The Speed Queen spin cycle gets everything to just above damp and the dryer has a 30 min cycle that gets everything almost dry/dry. I'm seeing saving in our detergent purchase/ electric and time! All functions are back to simple, timeless and just what we need to get an amazing clean! Note: the spin feature is so intense and does an amazing job, we were getting some back bubbles due to the force of air it pushes in our drain set up. Discovered it was washing out new dirt + left over detergent from previous HE loads (ehhh gross). But yes, use HE detergent for less suds and adding in a 1/4 cheap distilled white vinegar will further reduce suds + it's a wash aid for whites, colors, sports, pets.... just add some.

The speed queen is working nicely but only puts out hot water. I called in Fred's appliances to repair and their guys who do speed queen quit or something so now I just have a washing machine that does hot loads still 3-4 months later

My repair technician recommended Speed Queen, no digital displays just a basic machine. This meets those requirements. It reminds me of my workhorse washing machine in the 80's. It has basic options and old school knobs. Boy, does it get the job done! It is not quiet like my front loading machine but you can tell it is doing the job and every load comes out smelling clean!
