Just a Guy Saying: Darn Good Washer

We are only about three or four weeks into ownership of the washer and matching dryer. I purchased the set after doing a great deal of research while attempting to find a collective agreement on durability, reliability, and naturally the ability to clean clothes. Through my research, I kept coming back to Speed Queen despite two major drawbacks. One is the tub size. It is one of the smallest tubs on the mark; however, I cannot remember the last time I or we washed a bedcover or a rug that requires the large tub. It handles sheets very well. I'm sure it will handle blankets well too when the need arrives. I no longer wear jeans every day but it has handled jeans (mine and wife's) without issue.
The second drawback is the price. Outside of some European washers, Speed Queen have to be the most expensive. While price is always a factor, price over time is something that has to be taken into consideration regardless of the product. I have full confidence that the washer and matching dryer will last 20+ years and if maintenance needs to take place then I've watched enough videos to know they are easy to work on.
In so far as features, I had one requirement and that was the ability to choose the water level. I do not mean choosing to have the washer automatically choose with the option to "maximize" the water; I mean to choose between low, medium, and high water levels. I also liked and have already used the soak feature on a few work shirts. My wife has also used some of the built in wash features but I honestly do not know what they were but she did like it. For that matter, she likes the washer and has said she notices a difference between the cleaning results of this washer compared to our old Samsung washer.
My one word of caution is the noise. The washer isn't exceptionally loud. It is just louder than the previous Samsung. However, the Samsung would only fill the tub with a thimbleful of water unless I would purposefully loaded it with presoaked towels. The Samsung would also run for 75 to 90 minutes too. In the end, the location of the washer should be considered unless you have a door and if you have a door, close it.
