Haven't even had this stove for one month, but sincerely regret purchasing this model. The control knobs are difficult to read. I was told by my retailer that it was my lighting, but I see many others have lodged same complaint. The control panel is driving me CRAZY!!! It goes off at the slightest touch and has to be turned on again. Cooktop is difficult to keep clean. I only wish this stove had been out of stock when I ordered it. Paid $1,400 for it. Looks good, but the design is flawed. So disappointed with this purchase. Should be able to return it for a different stove!!! DO NOT BUY THIS STOVE!!!

Bought this slide in range for my kitchen remodel. So far, the oven bakes evenly and perfect thx to the Alexa connection & the whirlpool app. My stove is connected to my iPhone and Apple Watch. No way I can over bake my food. The burners heat quickly, cook evenly. The steam clean oven option doesn't clean like the high heat clean. That's the only caveat. Not sure how I will get the baked on debris off without scrubbing. Not happy about this but plan to call whirlpool for answers. I replaced a top of the line kitchenAid with this range and so far, it is so much better other than the steam cleaning the oven option.

This range LOOKS GREAT under the compact micro. It bakes nice too. As with other reviewers I am always dealing with the TOO SENSITIVE TOUCH CONTROL PANEL. It makes the surface DIFFICULT TO CLEAN. Yes it can result in turning the oven on or off at the worst time. The other troubling issue is HOW LONG IT TAKES TO BOIL WATER. Even when on double or triple 'HIGH' setting, the burner cycles on and off. Comparing it to the 30 year-old Electric coil range this replaced which could boil water in half the time. I must admit, we purchased this unit without ever being able to actually see or demo one. That would have changed what was purchased. In summary: Great looking but quirky appliance.

Aestheticly beautiful highly flawed oven.

I regret ever purchasing this oven. The software Is buggy and the WIFI application is worthless. The touch screen is horrible whomever thought it was a great idea of adding a touch screen that will shut the oven off whenever a drip of water hit it from a boiling pot didn't think it out much. Adding a touch screen tablet without a reboot option other than unplugging the oven, which has to happen at least every other week, is beyond frustrating. This is a lemon I would gladly return if it was an option. I have loved whirlpool appliances but this model has soured me completely on the brand. I have never owned a more frustrating to use appliance. Poor execution, poor software, and horrible technology wrapped up in a very pretty looking oven. 0 out of 5 stars if it was allowed.

The touch screen feature on this range is terrible. If you tend to have dry hands, you can't make the touch screen respond to you. Furthermore, forget trying to clean the stove-top if you have something in the oven; the movement of the cleaning rag will turn the oven off! I regret we purchased this. I want knobs, buttons or dials, not touch screens.

I've been using it for about a year now. It still love the looks of it, but I have to say that it has some annoying flaws. The software that manages the oven is of really poor quality and it's the only way to use it. The software crashed several times, the timer has to be shut twice when it's done, I've had cases where the touch screen didn't respond, etc. As for the auto cleaning, it only works for little stains at the bottom of the oven, even after several cycles. For anything on the walls or the door, you have to get your gloves out and scrub like in the old days.

I bought this couple of months again and the glass cooktop surface is damaged on one of the elements ( front right-triple setting one)as I was told by whirlpool rep. by high temperature! It's pretty ironic that when you cook the burners/elements get HOT or otherwise it will not cook. Well the glass on that particular element pretty much melted as it is imbedded in and not as they trying to tell me it is on top and it can be cleaned. Well you can't clean it I had two repairman come and they could not get it off! Whirlpool will not stand by its product and tells me that is not safety issue but rather cosmetic!!! Unrealistic! I'm scared to use that burner because I don't want it to blow up on me. On top of that the panel doesn't work I had that replaced and the trim on in its dented and the harness doesn't work so i need another part replaced on top of it. So now I have a $1700 range sitting in my kitchen that is totally useless!! Having kids in the house and not being able to provide a homemade meal for days maybe weeks since they can't specify when the part will arrive is just great!

It just doesn't meet my expectations

I've had this oven for six months and it's time to give some feedback. First, I have no problem with the heating, cooking, baking, convection features. None, it works as well as any other range in this category. The features I have a problem with are minor but these affect me daily. First, of all the things that bother me, are the knobs. yes, the knobs. The single/double/triple and LO/HI indicators on the knobs, both color and font size, should contrast not blend, with the knob color. I admit my eyes have gotten worse in recent years, but, even with my glasses on, I find it difficult to determine which setting I am using: WP could have done a better job of making the print bolder and/or adding color for functionality instead of aesthetics. Second, the WIFI drops too easily (so much so, that I stopped using the function). And, when it does drop, you have to reset it- there is no memory stored, no battery back up. An inconvenience, but, if I am away from home, have everything planned ahead, food in the oven, and expecting to turn on or monitor progress using the app, I lose that ability if my wifi drops. Third, the touch screen can be too sensitive (I'm not sure how you can make it less sensitive, but, the feature requires a learning curve). For instance, if I have the oven on and my stove top is dirty (maybe the marinara splattered some sauce on the touch pad) and I wipe it clean, I can inadvertently and unknowingly turn off my oven. Even worse, if my wife comes by and wipes it clean, she won't realize she just turned-off the oven (yup, happened once, but not to much detriment). Again, you work around these nuisances, but, nonetheless, they are nuisances and I would have purchased another range had I paid closer attention to these details. Otherwise, the range works well. Burners burn, oven roasts/convects/broils and with four burners plus a warming zone, there is no shortage of space for pots. And, with the coordinating slim line OTR microwave, it's a very attractive set up. I'd still have trouble recommending it and would highly suggest shoppers to shop around or at least be aware of what I've experienced.

Purchased stove in October! First thing happened , 2 elements stopped working and blue streaks could be seen ,under the glass ! All elements and wire harness replaced , within 2 weeks the oven went out! Thanksgiving ruined! Called main office in Michigan, got this awesome lady, after telling her the stove was a lemon, she had another stove shipped to me! Received the stove 28th day of December and again Christmas Dinner didn't go well! Thought we were good on this stove, but no the right front element, the glass top has started pitting, I thought it was grease to be scraped off...no it wasn't! I could not comprehend how we got another stove with more problems! My husband even tried to clean it and I told him, won't work and he looked closer, the glass has severe pits in the glass all sround the one element! I haven' called whirlpool again because they are going to tell me they don't fix anything like that...only way if has to be defect when stove is delivered! So I have had this $1700 stove and glass top looks bad because around the element , the heat pitted the glass and looks horrible after 6 weeks! Will be calling but Whirlpool will give the runarround again on this stove! Having the worst luck with this stove! The glass top is defective, but Whirlpool will not want to do anything about it! As USUAL!

Have had for two months. The oven works fine. Faster than our previous oven. Like the versatile cooktop burner sizes. Burner size within a burner. I purchased this Whirlpool slide-in smart stove on July 5th, 2018. Great looking stove, I chose black stainless. The burners work great but the top flat digital panel is very sensitive and constantly turns on when you wipe over the screen to clean it. I have used the oven a total of 4-5 times since owned and it appeared to work well. Two weeks ago, the end of October I noticed the panel screen showed the photo of an hour glass. None of the features or touchpads on the panel worked to clear this or turn on the oven. I was unable to troubleshoot the problem and the Whirlpool hotline had no answers. Needless to say, I had to arrange for a Whirlpool appliance technician to come out and determine what the problem was and hopefully fix it. Well, apparently the mother board needs to be replaced. No explanation as to why it just died. There was no power outage and I had not used the oven for about a week. Although covered by warranty, I still do not have the new part since it is on order. Not to mention I have to make another appointment for the technician to come out when the part comes in to repair the stove. I'm quite upset considering the cost of this appliance. Brand new and the motherboard just dies... not good. Now I'm questioning if this was such a great choice.

Not For Us Clean Freaks

I have had my new stove for about a month and now wish I had mad a different choice. My previous stove had a ceramic top that I loved because it was so easy to keep clean. It's top was not solid black, but had a slight speckle pattern. This one however, is a nightmare. It has a shiny, sleek surface that looks beautiful, but I have found it nearly impossible to keep it free from greasy streaks. The control dials are also a disappointment because they are located on the front of the stove, slightly underneath the display shelf, so that I have to lean over to assure that I have turned on the correct burner.
