Nice refrigerator!

I live in an older condo so finding side-by-side options is challenging because you only have so much height, depth and width to work with. However, I really like this so far. I've had it about 3 weeks or so. I've read some complaints about capacity but compared to what I had before (a standard refrigerator with the freezer on top) I think's it's comparable in capacity. You might have to stack things differently in the freezer but I believe the space is about the same. The ice maker works good but I have noticed it does seem to keep churning out ice even after the on/off bar is moved up as the ice accumulates (it should shut off when that bar is moved up a certain point). I think it has to move up all the way, so I believe this might be a design flaw that needs more attention attention by Whirlpool. I had a similar ice maker in my old GE refrigerator (but without the dispenser built in the door) and it did shut off after the bar was moved up a certain level. What I've done is watch it and when I get the amount of ice I think I'll need, I just move the bar up all the way up and shut it off. Some have complained of the ice splattering when you dispense it. I seem to notice this more when the ice is crushed than when it is cubed ice. I suppose the dispenser could have been recessed deeper more in the door but I haven't considered this a major issue. You do hear it pumping water in and making the ice but I think the noise level is acceptable. As for the refrigerator portion, as some have pointed out, only the shelves on the door are adjustable, so it might be disqualifier for some if you really are set on adjustable shelves on the inside and not just the door. I don't mind it myself. For what it is, and the space I had to work with, I really like it and this refrigerator is perfect for my needs.
