No matter how much we put in freezer, have to unplug every four weeks to defrost unit. Freezer works but bottom unit is a huge pain to mantain. Stay away from this unit.

We bought this refrigerator this summer. We love that it fit in the odd spot we had to put a refrigerator. The only thing we had to get use to was that with freezer on top we had to bend down for the fridge. before we had a small side by side. But shelves width were to small. So this is 100% better. I just received my fridge about a week ago. I am a Whirlpool fan, and I do quite like most of the things about this fridge except the freezer pop open when I close the big door and it then shuts back. I am disappointed in Whirlpool with this product. The freezer door does not have enough suction to keep it from popping open every time I open the fridge door.

Great Layout, Simple Design

This is a nice, simple fridge. None of the endless bloat companies are trying to put in, no absurdly expensive upgrades, nothing of the sort. It's straightforward and fits right in at a good price. The internal layout is good. Stuff fits easily. It isn't very loud. Only thing I don't like is that the freezer door has a gap in the bottom of the trays, so many items won't fit there as they'll fall through.

This Whirlpool fridge is well made, great LED lighting, lots of space! Very nice exterior finish and attention to detail inside. The lighting looks great. Cools well, and no problems in either fridge or freezer being too cold or not either. For a Whirlpool fridge, a very good value as well! Terrible, description claimed there was a light in the freezer, the freezer door guard rails allows all your priduce to fall out the bottom. Cleaning the bottom is a nuisance because door has to be open 90 degrees. Overall this product sucks from your false description to its actual application plwase give me back my money.

It's so quiet I thought it wasn't on.My old Amana sounded like a gas lawnmower. Would be better if it had LED light in the freezer and freezer door shelves were an inch wider ( Have to put stuff on angle or it will fall out). Consumer Reports had it in the top 8 in top freezer models.P C Richards had at a great price.

Grr!!! Starting to hate this fridge AND Whirlpool

We bought this and initially were very happy about the space compared to our old fridge. But then, while it was still new, the deli flexi drawer support broke. I am currently on hold (29 minutes and counting) for the fourth time trying to get the correct part sent to us. They sent us the incorrect part three times then in giving up the customer service rep said she would send me the schematics of the fridge with the part numbers and I could just order it myself. 2 weeks later...still haven't gotten that email from her. I realize this sounds stupid but the refrigerator is just not useful without this part and we would NOT have purchased it. Also a minor point but aggravating..when you FINALLY reach a customer service rep it sounds like there are 20 people in a 9 x 9 room all on phones from 1976.

Somewhat smaller than my previous fridge but that is fine as shelves are adjustable. One negative aspect is that the beverage holders on the door do not easily accommodate large bottles (i.e. gallon of milk). I must also mention that the light is obscurely placed in the center area and has no protective cover over the bulb which presents a hazard when placing and removing top shelf items. Fingerprint resistant coating on outside of door would be a plus.

I bought this fridge less than three years ago (in fact it was stamped as a February 2015 manufacture date). A few days ago, in June 2018, my fridge stopped cooling. Turns out there is a small pin hole leak in a refrigerant line, and that I need a new fridge. The technician told me there was nothing that we could have done to cause this, or prevent it from happening. It's always nice to shell out $1,500 for a new fridge every three years.

PROS: spacious, keeps temperature well at the recommended setting, magnetic stainless surface, large freezer compartment, simple but sleek design for those looking for a basic model. CONS: if you're taller than 5' 9" you will need to bend down quite a bit to access the fridge, watch your toes when opening the fridge as the door is 1" off the floor, crisper/deli drawers are relatively smaller than older models, stainless steel is not fingerprint proof.

I purchased this Refridgerator about two months ago to fit in my limited space condo. Although it looks great I'm disappointed that it has no light in the freezer (my bad for assuming all freezers had a light). Also all my frozen vegetables I kept on the door fall right through cause the shelf is too narrow to accommodate bagged or boxed veggies. The fridge part is great! Very roomy and well lit!

My previous refrigerator was almost 26 years old and began to freeze my produce, especially lettuces. I bought this one about a month and a half ago and it began doing the same! The icemaker is continuously making ice and overflows into the freezer. Sometimes ice cream is soft! I have adjusted the temperature on both refrigerator and freezer.

When I moved into my new home, my old refrigerator decided to go out. I looked around for awhile for a replacement. I am happy that I took my time and got this refrigerator. It is really large to accommodate my family. There is lots of space to store my freezer items and there are plenty of shelves on the door to store drinks and condiments. The drawers have temperature control sliders to match your produce up with the correct humidity. The deli drawer is nice size and adjustable. There is room for all my dietary needs. I love fruits and can store whole melons inside. No more over ripened fruit due to lack of storage space. I am very happy with this purchase.

I like the design and value of this specific model which is very spacious, the perfect size for my requirements. I am very happy with my new Whirlpool fridge because of the maximum flexibility for storage with adjustable glass shelves on both sides in addition to the sliding meat tray compartment. Food / meat & vegetables remain fresher longer with the even cool temperature. The fridge rolls on wheels making cleaning behind and under the fridge easier

Needed to replace our fridge and because of size restrictions due to surrounding cabinetry this one fit the bill. I like the movable shelving on the door, but would have preferred the split shelves on the interior. Vegetable drawers are a little smaller than my previous one and the door shelf in the freezer is narrower, but other than that works well, is quiet and is good value for the price.

I put up with the door not really holding anything well whether it fell through like the freezer or not narrow enough in fridge to hold bottles upside down when near finished. The fridge door looked nice in store but after sometime you realize it is very badly designed. The sealing was warped but it appeared to not leak coldness. The stainless steel is very hard to keep looking nice. Now what has made me write this review after 2 years is that I am having the repair man again in less than 2 months to fix it. First the fridge was freezing and defrosting all day long and now the freezer is doing it. Ugh as I write this I notice it now makes loud noise when motor turns on. I am so hoping to replace this somehow. I'm fed up of wasting money on food.

I do like this frig--it is quiet-unlike the last GE model we bought--however, I have nothing good to say about the freezer door shelves. There is definitely a design flaw--a BIG one--nothing will fit--things are either too big to fit or things slide out the enormous gap. WHAT IS UP WITH THAT??? I can think of nothing that will stay on these shelves without falling out. I will have to buy some stupid container to fill the gap (2 inches)--the "shelves" on the door measure approx 2" each in width but they are curved where they meet the door. What can fit on that??? There should be a retro fit shelf available. Nowhere in the info is this pointed out when looking for frigs. Who designs these things. Please develop a shelf fix for this. We payed $$$ for this model and now I cannot use half the freezer. I do not accept that there is no fix for this because in the comments here you have known about this for some time.

I had an older model refrigerator that was manufactured in 1995. It was starting to run all the time raising my utility bill more than what I could afford. I am on a strict budget from a fixed income. I took an Energy Class sponsored by DTE and found out I qualified for the refrigerator through their recycling program.
