Did not produce ice from initial connection.

Plugged it in an did not work from the start. I bought through the whirlpool web site thinking it would be easier. I had to call a local certified repair store to come and diagnose a defective unit. Process is going on 3 weeks

Fast ice

We have had it for 3 weeks and so far it keeps up with our needs. Thanksgiving is almost here and family is on the way. We'll see how it performs. Also, summer is a whole different story in TX.

We have this about a month and I have no complaints. I can't help but wonder if our modell is running cold enough because it seems the pump runs quite often. Will be purchasing a thermometer to check this. The cubes are smaller than the prior similar model which lasted only 4 years so u need to wait and see.

Great Features

We bought this ice machine 2 weeks ago and and it has been a great addition to our downstairs recreation room. We have a pool and use a lot of ice in the summer. This machine is making great ice and has a feature to make ice faster which helps keep up with the demand. We like the option of putting a filter in the machine to filter the impurities and chemicals from the ice too. The light is also a nice feature. We are considering buying a Whirlpool ice machine for the kitchen too.
